PC repair without the runaround.

Slow, stuck, infected, full, or just acting weird — I get Windows machines humming happily again.

Nick's Computer Rescue is for PC people too. Laptops, desktops, all-in-ones, custom builds, home offices, printers, files, backups, and that mysterious box under the desk — all handled patiently, cheerfully, in plain English, right at your door.

Macs get their own page because Apple people search for Apple help. But the core work never changed: most of the computers I rescue are still Windows PCs, and they get the same careful, no-shame, glad-to-help attention.

Under the hood

Does this look scary to you?

Not one bit. I know my way around here — it's my happy place.

What I handle for PC users

Slow PC tune-ups

Startup taking forever, apps dragging, fans screaming, storage packed full — I happily clear out what is bogging it down and tell you plainly what is worth doing.

Virus, pop-up & scam cleanup

Fake warnings, browser hijacks, suspicious downloads, or the call that made you nervous. Cleaned up carefully, then locked down snug so the next one has a much harder time getting in.

Won't boot or keeps crashing

Blue screens, update loops, dead drives, weird noises, black screens, and mystery errors. I diagnose the actual cause before throwing parts or money at it.

Upgrades that make sense

RAM, SSDs, Wi-Fi cards, monitors, docks, and peripherals. If a modest upgrade gives the machine another few happy years, I will gladly say so. If it is time to replace it, I will say that too.

Data transfer & backups

Files, photos, documents, browser favorites, email, and the stuff you forgot mattered until the old PC started failing. Moved over cleanly and backed up safe and sound before trouble hits.

Custom PCs & gaming setups

Parts lists, builds, repairs, controller and game-library setup, performance tuning, and the practical tradeoffs between what is cool and what is actually worth buying.

Good reasons to call

You do not need to know what is wrong before you ask — figuring that out is my favorite part.

Your laptop takes ten minutes to become usable.

A pop-up says you are infected and wants money.

Windows updates keep failing or looping.

The computer is full but you do not know what can be deleted.

You need a new PC set up without losing the old one.

You want an upgrade, but not an upsell.

No shame, no snobbery

A five-year-old Dell and a brand-new gaming rig both deserve straight answers.

I love good tools, but I am not here to make you feel bad about the computer you already own. The job is simple: protect your files, save you money where it makes sense, and get you cheerfully back to your day.

PC giving you grief? Let's sort it.

Slow laptop, desktop that will not boot, virus scare, printer problem, or a new PC to set up — call or book online and tell me what is going on. I'd be glad to help.
